But before that, just a little sidetrack to the 4-5 class outing!
Really happening day, as it always is with 4-5. So Lan first and foremost, that was the coolest, sianest (if that is even the proper way to slang in singlish) and longest Dota match I have ever played. 50-30 somethingish score? And if my memory serves me correctly that was the first time I achieved dominating satus in a game. But then again, maybe it's because Zhi Wei was there to kill whenever you need to top up your cash or experience. I apologise for that haha. Yep the usual suanning (we are a rather unorginal lot eh) and yelling at the place. Then on to seoul garden. What can I say? Good food, Great friends. Oh yeah Wen Bin haha seriously after A levels (<-emphasis there) you need to get a girlfriend...as in seriously. But for the time being, take note:
1: Clams that are split open are cooked. (Imagine them as trying to say "I had enough of this heat get me out of here)
2: Getting hit by hot oil and stuff is expected when cooking (All good cooks have thick skin. Literally not figuratively)
3: Making soup is not like Chem SPA (When ppt starts forming something bad is going on)
4: When meat is left unattended it goes from organic (red stuff) to inorganic (carbon) to mineral (diamond) when given enough time.

Oh well school is opening...haiz. If I ever see another person put "GLHF" on msn (good luck have fun for those who don't speak gamerish) then I shall say as Arby in halo did: Your ass, my size 24 hoof. Has it been productive? Depends on which perspective you refer to. As a gamer well of course there has been progress. As a student? Pretty detrimental. Its like hitting rock bottom...then continuing further underground. Oh well change starts tomorrow I guess. Already got some hardcore study plan with a friend. Mugging throughout the week through the term. Sounds impossible?...erm yep I guess it is. As I always say, don't mistake pessimism for being realistic.

Well before I continue, I guess I must explain my absence. Firstly it is the holidays and I deserve a break, sorry to all dear readers out there. Secondly so much have changed in the past few weeks, my views my emotions and other emo crap that I guess you all won't want to hear about. So it's best that I type only when I know what I'm thinking about. For example to those who have tell me to "get over it", well I have. So no more wallowing in grief and things, you'll see why further on in the post. And finally, training for OGL and CCA has been intensive especially for CCA since so much is at stake now (but that's another story) thus my routine has been training and sleeping for days on end. Yep no time to blog. So without further ado, your long awaited post.
2008, the year when many people I knew including myself endured what I would call a "shit storm". Quite a number got hurt pretty bad and realised reality can be so much harsher...or perhaps a co-ed school to be precise. But as they say its only when you get burnt do you learn to fear fire and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I guess we are all less naive now. We know what to expect if times like that ever occur again. And so, we stand up to face the new year, immune to the distractions and bad grades and well...affairs of the heart.
Well this next paragraph is going to sound real bitter, so girls especially, it's best that you look away now lest you get the wrong impression.
Truth be told, I am beginning to lose a lot of faith in the other gender. Don't get me wrong, there are those of you out there, some who I had the pleasure of befriending, who are great people. I thank you for being there. Yet, there are those that just love to bite the hand of guys who try to be at least courteous or gentlemanly. I shall not name the many instances where this has occurred. No wonder you girls keep complaining that guys can be real jerks. Cos when you bastardise a guy for long enough don't blame him for being an ass back to you. Wonder what happened to all the white knights out there? Well, they've been taken advantage of, insulted and ignored as "they are too weak and pushy" or "the bad boys are cooler" so yeah maybe I shall be more of an ass this year...maybe I can survive longer.
Oh well, looking back it was a fun year if you omit all the crap. More activities squished into 365 days than I ever thought possible. Some formal, others more impromptu. Learnt stuff like dota and bridge and even tai ti, became wiser in some ways and made many great friends.
Well basically that is my reflection of last year, my apologies if that large chunk of text in the middle offended anybody but as I said there are many of you with hearts of gold. But that aside guess I'd better put in some humour huh.

Dis-illusioned....Regret....
8:08:00 PMWords that are very apt at this point of time. Oh yeah and for all loyal blog readers ie. Those who have been reminding me to post, no worries cos well you're reading one. And nope, I will not stop posting for another year and a half again...The sunk cost to make this blog is just to great for me to abandon it.
Let's see...Birthday post! even though its 14 days later. But anyway it was a rather interesting one with VJC open house in the morning. The air rifle booth was real boring and somehow I got arrowed to be the range tour guide. BBQ at ECP with the four-fivers in the evening. Some would call it rather eventful with stuff like frisbees flying over the fire while Chee Yong flicked flammable gel onto others. Lets just say karma strikes back really quickly. Next, I almost blew up the container of gel...damn that non-luminous flame. Can't even tell when your hand almost catches fire. Back to karma, Chee Yong then gets a taste of sea water with me following closely behind. But curses to those people who decided to drag me in instead of throwing. You guys had to create a skid mark on the beach no? Lots of other random stuff like destroying a wasp's nest, eating cake that was dropped on the table and taupoking for a picture. AND ZHENG MOU WHERE THE HECK ARE MY BOOKS MAN?
Night cycling after that...5 guys travelling from ECP to Kallang back to ECP to Changi and back to ECP again, imagine that. Almost got busted by the police for cycling on the highway at 3am but thanks to Kevin's smoking and act blur skills we managed to bluff the guys in blue and returned to ECP safely. Spent an hour sleeping at Bedok Jetty. Let's just say when your butt hurts, your legs are sore, the bench is concrete-hard and your freezing cold, you learn to miss home very quickly. Nice end to the birthdays celebration (plural here cos I realised theres a ton of people with birthdays from october 1-10). Kudos to everyone who remembered considering less than 10 did last year but no worries guys. The only big let down was back at home where I did not get a cake, my mom didn't even wish me and all I got were 2 hong bao's to "get my own books" but hey, I aint complaining.
So promo results are back, real bummer they are. Triple Ds and Double Es. I would have been fine with that if not for 3 things. 1) Theres a fair bit of people getting As <- notice the plural here (congrats to you guys anyway) 2) I failed physics. Fortunately my Mid-Years grade nerfed it back to a D. 3) All that means my H3 flies away...haiz. Well come to think of it I should just have let my maths turn into a U so I could get an A for physics instead of sacrificing my physics study time. All that equals....regret...regret...regret. But I shan't harp on that anymore time to mug through the hols. Straight As next year all the way. Does that mean I have to change my mission directives? Hmm...tough choice.
And then there's you. I find the thought that you were scared by the previous post rather amusing. It's getting easier to forget about you at home and when i'm outside. But that's not the case in school and that sucks the most. Its still your laugh, your smile and your voice that gets to me. Curious...since a friend asked me how a person can like someone that deeply. Is it that I can't let go or I don't want too? More questions to think about it seems. Why is it that memories linger for so long? I can forget the You now. But it's the memories of you before that seem to come back to haunt me all the time. What to do...What to do...
Sometimes not giving a shit works...but then again the shit will come back to hit you in due time...

Some days are just cold and gloomy...
12:03:00 AMThat seems to be happening a lot nowadays...like what the hell happened to global warming and where's all this rain coming from. I don't know if its a good thing but my room seemed to have turned into a natural freezer even with the air-con and the fan off. Maybe its because I painted the whole place dark blue but hey at least it looks like i'm looking at the sky all day...
Promo's are coming and yeah it feels like O levels all over again except with even more hype this time. Its as though someone launched a ballistic missile with 25 megatons of shit into the atmosphere. Let's see...failed to get into OCIP. I guess I dug my own grave there, gave some answers that resulted in even more complicated questions. Lots of other minor mishaps here and there. Oh yeah got to see your poster 4 times on the way back to cat high, 1 outside VJ, 1 OUTSIDE CAT HIGH. and 2 on the road...Is that a bad thing? I don't know but its like SOMEONE IS OUT TO MOCK ME IN MY FACE.
So lots of happening stuff this week. Teachers day...real funny though it seemed the focus was on slide shows and vids rather than performances but what the hell it was funny anyway. Caught Wall-E with a bunch of friends at dhoby. Someone slept throught it (yeah thats you Hsien Liang) found it quite touching though. Went back to cat high and relieved a moment in the 4-5 classroom with people shouting insults at one another while Mr Krishnan just sits back and laugh. Even got some advice from him like old times. Burned a lot of cash at cafe cartel and ALMOST caught a movie with the 4-5 people but apparently standing around and talking cock is more interesting.
You have gotten me wondering also...well everyone is saying you are stealing glances at me. Though I still choose to think of it as coincidences...well make that a lot of coincidences. Then there was that jacket incident. Someone joked that you didn't wear that jacket of yours and thus it broke "his" heart (speaking from the friend's perspective by the way). I thought it was just another one of those things you pretend to ignore....instead you wore that jacket the very next day. Perhaps its yet another coincidence. What if they are not, what are you trying to tell me? People have suggested I speak to you after seeing how lonely and "emo" you looked in class. All the girls forming a clique while leaving you out. I can't help but feel guilty at your state but everytime I decide to speak to you, that's when the awkwardness sets in. I mean how do you speak to someone after so many months of silence...that's another question to ponder over till my next post...
